I’ve loved Kate Parker from the very first email I received from her. I knew instantly that we would be friends and I was elated to be chosen as her wedding photographer.
She is beyond adorable and has the most beautiful smile and warm demeanor you could ever imagine. Like I said, I just love her. As do the many others that joined she and her fiance Paul at their engagement celebration on Saturday evening.
Kate’s mom and dad hosted a wonderful party at their home in Palm Beach and Dave and I had the honor of stopping by for a little while to capture some of the evening.
Here are a few of my favorite glimpses:

I love this shot of Kate and her girlfriends that Dave snuck while I was shooting.

This one is also Dave’s. Kate’s sister Julie made these cupcakes herself and is getting them all ready to display. Such a cool memory.
Kate’s Dad is a terrific guy and he prepared an incredible toast to K&P. It was beautiful.
I love how their tree looks like a big heart over their guests from this angle.
This is Kate’s Boppa and I am pretty sure he is where she gets some of her charm.

It truly was a great night and I am so excited about working with K&P in the upcoming months.
I snapped this last shot with something a little different in mind.
I’m sure this great duo would love to hear all of your answers to the following question from their party.
What do you think? (I’d love to hear too)

Kelly Baker - I’m with Kat. Secrets to a happy marriage? Putting God first. Putting Spouse Second. Focus on the things you love about eachother, it’ll help you bring out the best in them and mask their flaws. Communication is key…”talk” through life with your best friend!April 24, 2010 – 8:43 am
Kat Braman - too cute! love those first 2 shots of them and that tree is awesome.
Secrets to a happy marriage huh? putting God first, a good sense of humor, time together and time apart, resisting the urge to be a button pusher.April 24, 2010 – 8:26 am

my secret to a happy marriage is: NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING. it saves on alot of arguments and confusion and also promotes communication wherever possible.April 24, 2010 – 8:25 am
melissa - While I am not yet married, but soon to be(56 days), I have gleaned a lot of advice from others. It seems to me that a secret to a happy marriage is to appreciate and treasure your spouse as a gift. At the same time really taking to heart the childhood rule of putting others before yourself. Try to support each other even when it is not fun. Always be open and honest and continually serve each other.April 24, 2010 – 8:23 am
