As Seen on Style Me Pretty: The Ultimate Wedding Blog

The Miller Fam | Treasure Coast Photographer

From now on, I am only accepting family sessions free from posing and forced smiles. I am going to do everything in my photographic power to make every family session as fun as this one.

Yes, the Millers happen to be an extraordinarily fun bunch but I think they enjoyed it as much as I did. Their oldest Nate even said, “These are the funnest pictures ever” as he was soaked, covered in sand and getting pounded by waves at Hobe Sound Beach.

And THAT is what family sessions should be about, the “funnest pictures ever” Who wouldn’t want images of their family enjoying life and one another!

A little background on this bunch, Leah and I met when we were 11 and were best buds for years. I loved being around her family because they were so loving towards each-other so it shouldn’t have surprised me that her own little family would be the same way. I was totally enchanted by her 3 little ones and their hilarious personalities, tender hearts and adorable smiles. I spent the whole session with warm fuzzies and I hope these images do the same for you!

Fun family photo perfection

Note: I went a little overboard on blogging Emmi but she made me want a little girl like crazy. I fell in love with her spirit and couldn’t resist any of these.

I was so impressed by Mike & Leah for being awesome parents and letting their kids to go crazy at the beach in their clothes.
The kids had a blast and so did I.

How sweet it is… | Palm Beach Wedding Photographer

To be loved by YOU! (my clients)

Look at what came in the mail last week from Matt & Linds! Love you guys and my new whale treats!!

Bryan & Jessica | Palm Beach Wedding Photographer

Jessica and Bryan are sweet, delightful and in love. They were laid back, not phased by the pouring rain and totally willing to go with whatever creative whim we found ourselves on. We had a great time and here are a few of my favorite snaps.

Brittany & Jess | Jupiter Wedding

Welcome to the wedding blog post of Brittany and Jess’ adorable Jupiter Wedding. I do have to preface this with telling you that they are in no way related. I say this because as you will see they look like twins. It’s uncanny actually. But that’s not the best part, not even close. The best part of this wedding was undoubtedly the emphasis invested in putting God in the center of their new marriage. The story was told of how their two Christ-centered lives had brought them there, to the day when those lives would be woven into one. The vocalists sang “In Christ Alone” and in that moment, I found myself struggling to stay focused on shooting. I wanted to just close my eyes and take it all in, it was just that sweet. So here’s to you Jess & Brittany, thanks for allowing me to witness such a beautiful promise.

Happy Birthday and sneak peek to the very beautiful new Mrs. Brittany Pittts!

Once upon a time… | South Florida Wedding Photographer

Once upon a time there was a wedding photographer. Well this photographer loved DD’s Cupcake Shoppe. So one Friday, the photographer realized it was key lime day at DD’s. Sadly, she was too slammed with editing to leave her chair and pickup any cupcakes to enjoy and she lamented about it on her facebook page. Then a sweet bride named Jessica heard her cry and showed up at her doorstep with the four most darling cupcakes the photographer had ever seen.

Naturally before taking a single bite, the photographer grabbed her camera and snapped a few shots.

But then out of no where a sudden wind came and swept one of the cupcakes away…

It was dave.

But I do have the best clients. Thanks Jessica!

Matt & Jessica Trash the Dress | South Florida Wedding Photographer

Most of you know that I have been doing my fair share of traveling recently. But what most of you don’t know is how bummed I’ve been that South Florida doesn’t offer much in the way of old barns, fields of wild flowers, wooden fences etc… I loved the change of scenery that Nashville offered and it left me feeling very disheartened at the shortage of “venue” variety in my area. Until yesterday.  I left M&J’s session with salt on my skin, two bags of fresh caught dolphin fillets and feeling darn proud to be a South Florida Wedding Photographer. I owe a huge thanks to Matt & Jessica for being wonderful and going along with my ideas for a trash the dress adventure. I really have the coolest clients.

I feel like I could goon for 10 minutes about how great this couple is. Seriously, I feel like they were sent from God. I guess they probably were. Jessica’s thoughtfulness and Matt’s kindness married perfectly to make one amazing duo. Jessica, thank you for everything. Matt, you are a sensational husband and Jessica is a blessed wife to have you!

So without further blah blah blah…

I always start my trash the dress sessions with some pretty bridal “portraits”.

How cool is this chick? M&J love boating and Matt built this boat so I made sure to snap a few “action” shots.

I am so proud of this next one. This effect was not photoshopped. Hello angel.

Matt wanted to trash himself too. So we let him.

I didn’t make any promises about not blogging his “stripes” though…

Back to the good stuff…

I grew up boating and I would’ve loved a shot like this one of my new hubby. So this one’s for you Mrs. DeYoung.

hot.

hot.

And to make matters even hotter…

Jon & Sarah Engagement | Palm Beach Wedding Photography

I already in love Jon & Sarah. They just returned from a mission trip and while they were gone Sarah’s mom actually contacted and booked me for their wedding as a surprise for S&J! From what I understand Sarah had had her mind made up on her wedding photographer for some time so Mom knew just who to call when the time came.  I am so glad she did!

I met the lovebirds for their engagement session and we thought it was fitting to begin right behind the Royal Poinciana Chapel in Palm Beach where their wedding will take place next year. They brought bikes, picnic goodies and a darling old chair to incorporate into their session. So I gave them an A+ for awesomeness and we were on our way. Here are a few of my fave snaps from our shoot.

How cute are they?

Custom Wedding Stationary by Emboss Pretty | Organic Wedding Photographer

So I recently discovered that one of my gorgeous brides had a serious talent for designing custom stationary. I got one peek at Kristin Wrenne’s work and I literally began begging her to send me a few samples to show off. I knew that whatever she sent would be great but when I opened the package I did 15 backflips. Ok so maybe not, but I was blown away by the style and quality  of her designs. I’ve already shown them to several brides and they have fallen in love too!

Her etsy shop is called Emboss Pretty and you can find it here. Her shop is now open so feel free to contact her to create custom wedding papers that will fit your style and day perfectly.

Here are a few snaps of what she sent. For real….

The first set is a beach-themed set in perfect teal and yellow.

This set contains everything from Save the Dates, to Invites, Response Cards, Table Cards and even Thank You notes. Wedding programs would also make a great addition to this collection.

I love how this response card tucks into the invite rather than floating in the large envelope.

The textures and paper she chose are just divine.

Notice the goosebumps inside the save the date envelope, yeah I had them too!

I also loved this vintage silhouette themed collection.

This RSVP card and envelope also tuck right inside the invitation!

The girls got a gift folks.

Just look at what she sent me!!

Brides, I know Kristin is going to be slammed with orders so I’d advise that you get in touch with her very soon about your wedding stationary!

Summer Kids | Palm Beach Organic Photography

So you’ve probably noticed that I don’t do a whole lot of family sessions anymore. But every now and then I will take them on, but only the special ones that are board with my approach to photography. If a family is expecting posed portraits with everyone wearing matching outfits and smiling at the camera,  then I am just not the right photog for them.  But if they want images that portray their loved ones for who they really are, doing what they really love, well then, I’m the girl for the job.

And let’s be honest, with kids as cute as these what photog could resist?

For the second time on the JL blog, the Ashley kiddos and their cousin Riley.

Sailor Kate had no problem charming the camera but Harrison wanted nothing to do with it. Which is still charming…
