I did something big this weekend. I embarked on a special journey, my first ever solo road trip exceeding 60 minutes. I drove across the state of Florida. What could motivate me to go to such great lengths? Halle Frey. Yes, those of you who know Halle would understand but for those of you who don’t, where do I begin? To start, she is one of my best friends and college roommates, but she is also an incredible listener, caring and genuine, and embodies true beauty inside and out. So when I learned she would be down from Nashville visiting her family in Bradenton for the weekend, I hopped in the car and drove over. I actually enjoyed the drive, catching up on phone calls and podcasts.
We had a great weekend together and while I was there we were able to squeeze in a Frey Family shoot. The story is that Halle’s mom has wanted to do a shoot for like a decade. Literally. So when we realized Halle would be in town and I was able to get over for the weekend, we knew we had to make it happen. The Frey’s were such a joy to hang with, stay with and shoot with. I felt tremendously blessed by my time with them this weekend. Here are a few shots from our sunset session on Anna Maria Island.
