Nick & Emily’s Wedding | Destination Wedding in Italy

This is it. Surreal & Beautiful.

Nick & Emily’s Destination Wedding in the Tuscan Countryside. As the memories flicker through my mind I can’t help but to feel humbled and in awe.

The breeze whispering through the villa, the sound of the birds singing and the smell of espresso on the stove. Emily’s sister Annie with her video camera. Her Dad Keith and his crutch after he hurt his ankle playing soccer with Nick. Her brother Joe, who made it in from the air-force at the last minute, helping Dave and Adam collect rose petals from the garden to sprinkle in the aisle. And the light. Oh the light. It was perfection.

Nick and Emily stood in front of the old villa among few loved ones and offered each other forever. I could see the peaceful excitement in their eyes as they stole glances at each other while Keith performed the ceremony.

Every moment, every detail, was just…overwhelming. I couldn’t have even dreamt that it would be like this.

There was a moment during the reception when I found myself looking up at the star speckled sky in amazement.  And I decided I would let myself feel it. Feel the weight of what I was experiencing. The weight of God’s blessing. Just for a moment. The music played, there was laugher, love and we were in Italy.

Emily’s BFF Meghan made this gorgeous bouquet  and wrapped in Em’s grandmother’s hankie.

The broaches were all borrowed by loved ones for the special day.

E&N planted a lemon tree with their families near the villa’s  vineyard where I snapped this ring shot.

The reception was held in the courtyard of the church Nick’s grandfather grew up in. Just up the hill from the villa. It was hundreds of years old.

Nick. Em. Bryn. Keith. Murray. Laurie. Adam. Meghan. I don’t know how I will ever express my gratitude.

Thank you.
