Tyler & Rachel DeBord’s wedding in Daytona Beach was one of those days that makes you melt. Not because it was July in Florida but because of the love and tenderness that was evident between them. Not just them, but every single person at the wedding! Their friends and families were warm, down-to-earth and made me just want to join the fam. Rachel’s Dad is a college basketball coach but his speech during the reception was the sweetest, most heart-warming monologue OF ALL TIME! So much so, that I went up and gave him a hug before the night was over. That was a first for me but I couldn’t resist. The day was full of moments like that and I am so glad that Kat and I were able to be a part.
Thank you Ridders and DeBords for everything!

These two images were taken at the exact same time by Kat & me.

Where do I start?

Heather and I have been friends for 9 years. We met our freshman year of college and I can honestly say that I do not know who I would be without her influence on my life during that time.

As I watched she and Ian dance at their reception, I was overcome with joy. With the proudest smile across his face, Ian spun and twirled Heather around the floor.

It was the moment every girl longs for, and Heather had it.

Heather and Ian, thank you for inviting me to be part of your wedding day in the way that means the most to me.

Heather, thank you for loving me and always pushing me to be who God intended me to be.

Ian, you are one lucky man.

I also want to thank Shannon who joined me in the collection of these images. Many that you see here are hers and have me completely smitten.

Having a wedding featured NEVER gets old. When someone else in this big wide wedding world loves something I’ve captured enough to showcase it, well… it feels like a million bucks. So when Kirstin from Weddings Unveiled contacted me about featuring Nick & Emily’s Destination Wedding in Italy, I was obviously excited.

She did a GORGEOUS job on this post and I couldn’t be more proud to share it with you!

Mickey & Susan | Ft. Lauderdale Wedding Photographer

Susan and Mickey live in Chicago but they wanted to get their closest friends and family together for a destination wedding on the beach.

They chose the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort and although it rained all day but Zena and Christina at the Hilton did a wonderful job of improvising and making sure the wedding still turned out beautifully.

The ceremony was super-intimate and I was actually only there for a couple of hours but here are few of my favorite shots from Mickey & Susan’s Ft. Lauderdale wedding.

Yes, it is an inside joke. BUT the point is that this doll was sweet enough to think of me on her honeymoon in Elba.

And that is one of the hundred reasons I love her.

Matt & Jessica’s Sunrise Wedding | Jupiter Beach Wedding Photographer

This wedding was a first for JL (a.k.a. me) When Matt & Jessica mentioned a sunrise wedding on the beach, I was intrigued. Morning light is always my favorite so I was up for the challenge, literally. We started coverage at 5am and not a sleepy word was heard. Everyone was so excited for M&J. They picked my very favorite beach spot and said “I do” as the sun came up. At the end of their vows, they had a “stone ceremony” where everyone threw a wishing stone into the sea. It’s times like that when I am proud to be a morning person! Matt & Jessica, you guys were fab and I can’t wait to trash that pretty dress (wink wink)…
