Have I mentioned that I ADORE shooting in new places?

Well I do. And ever since Dave and I visited this spot in Orlando last year I’ve wanted to do a session here. Last weekend I finally had my chance.

Lauren and her gorgeous family live in Orlando and since I was headed up there for Heather & Ian’s wedding, it worked out perfectly to do their session at this dreamy locale.

I’ve known Lauren since college but I was delighted to meet her handsome boys. Daniel and Baby Brock were just as charming as anything and I truly felt like I’d won the family shoot lottery.

Lauren and Daniel, thanks for a fun morning! Another thanks to our helpers Shannon and Uncle “Tom” for your creative contributions. And thanks to God for this heavenly light!

Uncle Todd is pretty cool, but these baby rolls peeking out are just scrumptious.

Eisley Mae Donehey is my Best Baby Friend Forever. Her momma Kelly is one of my BFF’s so that makes her my BBFF. Got it? Good.

I am head over heels for this little lady. I felt like the luckiest girl ever that I got to see her twice in June.

Once when her Daddy, Mike was down here singing in a wedding and next when I was in Nashville for my sister Melissa’s wedding.

So naturally I was a little snap happy with my BBFF and BFF.

This is the face of love.

And this is a bit unusual but the rest of these are in Black and White because they just seem so much sweeter that way.

These are from our trip up to Nashville. Uncle Dave was holding Eisley and she was a.o.k with it.

Although Daddy’s not too bad either.

These next two were shot by Shannon and I love them.

Baby Baker #2 is a ________! | Jupiter Photographer

It’s been too long since my friend and JLP assistant Kelly B. has graced my blog.

She is expecting baby #2 and today was the big day that she and Brad found out the baby’s gender.

I convinced her to come straight to my house from her dr. so we could shoot a few fun family shots to use for the big announcement!

Drumroll…..

Now if they could just decide on a name…

Nick & Emily’s Family Dinner | Destination Wedding in Italy

Food in Italy is every bit as incredible as you’d expect. Probably even more incredible…

No matter where we wandered, it was the best Italian food we’d ever had.

The dinner we shared with Nick & Em’s families the night before the wedding was no exception.

But what made that meal so memorable wasn’t the food. It’s something I don’t even think I can put into words.

So I’ll do what I do best. These should add up to a few thousand words anyway.

Kohen and I were instant buddies. He let me snuggle with him while Heather finished prepping for the shoot and we bonded. I whispered to him that he was going to love having his picture taken. And he sure did. This 8-wk old was so infatuated with the whole thing that I had no problem capturing his adorable expressions. Getting those sleepy aloof infant photos was another issue but I’ll trade those for some sweet smiles any day! Heather and Jimmy made one amazing kid and I am whole-heartedly smitten.

How could I not be?

We did happen to luck out with a couple sleepy shots at the end. I love yawning babies. What could be cuter?

Lauren Daversa is a phenomenal wedding planner in the area who has also become a great friend. We are constantly chatting about ideas, tips, and whatever else is on our minds.

Back in December Lauren got together with her family and decided to purchase a gift certificate for her in-laws for Christmas.

When the time finally came for our session, she shared with me that she had decided to spice things up a little bit so she handmade some “props”.

Knowing that everything she touches turns to gold, I was sure I’d love whatever it was. And I did. And so will you.

I had a blast hanging with The Daversas on Saturday morning and here are just a few of my favorite “organic moments”.

Meet Lauren & her hubby Greg.

These are Greg’s parents and they are clearly 100% adorable on Jeff’s shiny Ducati.

The guys were just begging to get out Lauren’s props for their photos so we to oblige.

Everyone had to get in on the fun.

Even Lauren’s niece, Gracie wanted a piece. Just a piece.

Uncle Andrew also enjoyed some fun of his own.

and some time with a cutie.

The Daversa Family was super fun and I totally loved every minute I spent with them. How could I not?

{BABY BRAMAN BELLY} | WEST PALM BEACH FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

I am super blessed to have a great group of local photographer girlfriends, called SoFly. I LOVE spending time with these girls. It is so encouraging to have a community of women who know your world and can offer support from their unique point of understanding.

Kat Braman is one of these girls. She is an incredible photographer and I am intensely honored to call her a friend. Her work is beautifully unique and never ceases to amaze or inspire me.

So when she asked me to photograph her for maternity portraits I was flattered and a bit nervous.

As the time approached it became necessary for me to send my camera and two staple lenses away for repair, meaning I had to rely on back-up gear for Kat’s session. I will confess I’ve become very spoiled with fantastic gear so I was super anxious about shooting Kat’s session with my old gear. But Kat was understanding and we went for it anyway. We had a gorgeous day and a ton of fun shooting together and the images actually turned out ok.

Here are just a few of my favorite shots. How gorgeous is she? Definitely glowing!

Tookie was scared that Mommy was going to get hurt by a train so we didn’t last long shooting at the tracks. Sweet little guy.

I can’t take credit for the coolness of photo on the right below. That was all Kat’s idea and I stinkin love it.

{OWEN O} | SHARE THE LOVE | SOUTH FLORIDA PHOTOGRAPHER

This past Saturday I came together with 14 of South Florida’s leading photographers to host a day of mini-sessions with 100% of proceeds going to benefit the earthquake relief in Haiti. We had a great day and I just happened to be the luckiest photographer there. Why? Well I got to photograph the cutest double O I’ve ever seen.

Owen stole my heart on Saturday and he can just keep it because I wouldn’t have a chance trying to get it back.

His momma, Courtney, is a great friend and fellow photographer and in my opinion, pretty darn cute too.

my favorite holiday moments | organic photography

One of my few 2010 goals is to photograph more of my own organic moments. As photographers we sometimes get lazy in shooting our own lives for a number of reasons, one being that our job is our life so there is little else to shoot, and two being that we don’t always lug our cameras around on our milliseconds off.But this year I commit to: A) Actually have a life to photograph. This means taking a day off a week. Just one on Sunday, but I am really excited about decompressing and enjoying some r&r with friends and family. And B) Share as many of those moments as I can with you. So to start things off, I figured I’d post my favorite organic holiday moments. I know I’m a little late on the whole holiday thing but with all the busyness over the past month, I’m lucky I even captured them. But I will tell you this post is a bit extensive so sit back, and just enjoy the scroll. I promise they won’t always be this long.

Oh and what recap would be complete without a top 10 list? And this is a great one:

10. Semi-College Reunion at Anthony & Natalie’s Wedding.
9. Having coffee just for fun with Sara Kauss without being on a schedule
8. Season’s 52 for our anniversary dinner
7. Amazing Breakfasts (This one really deserves a much lower number)
6. Finally touring the Jupiter Lighthouse
5. City Cellar for Anniversary Creme Brulee just like our first date 6.5 years ago
4. Melissa’s Bridal Shower
3. A romantic Christmas tree bonfire on the beach, just the two of us.
These last two are moments I will never-ever forget.
2. Having my mom, mother-in-law, step-mom and sister all in one room.
1. Dancing with Dave to our song on our anniversary. (more to come on this)

Christmas at the Cornett’s always involves a little jam session.
and amazing breakfast. This happens to be my favorite. Hawaiian French Toast. ohmygosh.
This year we were puppy-sitting my mom’s 8-week old yorkie, Coco. She was a handfull on Christmas. But so adorable.
And you do need to see my favorite three gifts this year. From Dad and Dave. These boys know me well.
The pillow on the left is from Jenny Greeke’s etsy shop and the one on the right is from Antro as well as the little blue guy down below.

Next, I hosted Melissa’s shower at our place and we had a great morning of catching up with old friends and playing silly games.
I had a great time planning all the decor!

Dad started it off with a prayer of blessing on Melissa’s upcoming marriage and our breakfast.

I loved having Dave’s Mom and mine at the party. Aren’t they pretty?

We played the always enjoyable “design a TP bridal gown” game.
and the wedding word scramble game as well as the “can’t say wedding or you lose your pin” game. love those.
We also subjected her to Fiance Trivia and made her chew a piece of bubble gum for every wrong answer. She loved that game. ha.
Her my favorite gift she received was a apron with her married name on it designed by yours truly and custom-made by Sheena Wilber
Melissa’s BFF brought her new baby boy Elias and I just had to snap a couple pics of his cuteness
I love this photo of Mom, Melissa and Me.
The next day Dave and I celebrated our third anniversary with a day full of great things but I only had my camera during our tour of the Jupiter Lighthouse.
It was really fun and educational!
But a little scary too.

I am truly so blessed by my beautiful life and I thank each of you for what you mean to me.

Clients like the Helbigs make being the photographer almost as simple as “point and shoot”. They have great style, great smiles and know how to have fun!

Dave Helbig and I used to work together and he is now the Pastor of Christ Fellowship’s Online Campus- meaning he is the guy serving the thousands of people tuning in for church from around the world. His stories of what God is doing in the lives of our troops overseas as well as home-bound folks here in the US are just incredible. In fact- it’s one of those contacts he’s made that invited us to use their beautiful home for our family photo session.

SO thanks to the great venue and the great models here is a lil sampling of our session…
