Nick & Emily’s Family Dinner | Destination Wedding in Italy

Food in Italy is every bit as incredible as you’d expect. Probably even more incredible…

No matter where we wandered, it was the best Italian food we’d ever had.

The dinner we shared with Nick & Em’s families the night before the wedding was no exception.

But what made that meal so memorable wasn’t the food. It’s something I don’t even think I can put into words.

So I’ll do what I do best. These should add up to a few thousand words anyway.

I’ve loved Kate Parker from the very first email I received from her. I knew instantly that we would be friends and I was elated to be chosen as her wedding photographer.

She is beyond adorable and has the most beautiful smile and warm demeanor you could ever imagine. Like I said, I just love her. As do the many others that joined she and her fiance Paul at their engagement celebration on Saturday evening.

Kate’s mom and dad hosted a wonderful party at their home in Palm Beach and Dave and I had the honor of stopping by for a little while to capture some of the evening.

Here are a few of my favorite glimpses:

I love this shot of Kate and her girlfriends that Dave snuck while I was shooting.

This one is also Dave’s. Kate’s sister Julie made these cupcakes herself and is getting them all ready to display. Such a cool memory.

Kate’s Dad is a terrific guy and he prepared an incredible toast to K&P. It was beautiful.

I love how their tree looks like a big heart over their guests from this angle.

This is Kate’s Boppa and I am pretty sure he is where she gets some of her charm.

It truly was a great night and I am so excited about working with K&P in the upcoming months.

I snapped this last shot with something a little different in mind.

I’d like to introduce you to my new friend Barbie.

Barbie is a wedding planner based out of Tampa, but she is also a native Palm Beacher so she makes it over to this coast quite a bit for weddings and parties. When we spoke about the PB little soiree she was throwing for her high school girlfriends I knew we would have a great time!

As expected Barbie did a beautiful job styling the evening and here are just a few of my fave shots.

I don’t know where to start with this post. I promise I am being honest when I say these images brought me to laughter and tears in the hours spent with them. To call being chosen to photograph this wedding an “honor” would be an understatement. I literally felt like I was 5 years old on Christmas morning and everything I ever wanted was under the tree.

JB & Sarah are sweet, loving, down-to-earth and beautiful. Their venue and details would make any wedding photographer swoon and their friends, family and vendors made us feel like just one of the team. Seriously, what more could I ever want?

However, it was the excitement and emotion each of the day’s moment’s held that really pushed me over the edge. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did. Note: There are quite a few of them, I can’t help it sometimes.

I am thrilled with Sarah’s simple shoes. Just perfect.

In lieu of place-cards they had this board made to guide guests to their tables.

They reversed the old tradition of the guy slipping his caught garter on to the girl who caught the bouquet. So great.

{ANTHONY & NATALIE} WEDDING PART II | WEST PALM ORGANIC WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

As you’ve probably noticed, this wedding was broken into two posts instead of one so I could get the first posted right away. Now we’re on to part II, the promise and the party!!

Like I touched on in the last post, this wedding surpassed my expectations in every way. I knew everything would be beautiful, special and unique because it had Natalie’s elegant touch. What I didn’t know was how moving Anthony’s first glimpse at his new bride would be, or how proudly content the gazes of their parents would be as each couple watched their children pledge forever, or even how Natalie’s gentle spirit and thoughtfulness would make her wedding one I would never forget.

When you scroll through these images you will see what a wonderful day December 30th was. What you may not see is that December 30th was also my anniversary. We really wanted to be a part of this wedding so we didn’t think twice about it being on the same day. But Natalie did. So during her reception she asked the DJ to play our song and invite us to put down our cameras for a special anniversary dance. And as we slowly swayed back and forth, my eyes filled with tears as memories flooded my mind. I know it goes without saying that having a successful marriage and career is a lot of work; but in that moment that Natalie gave us, it was all so worth it. I will never be able to thank her for what that meant to me.

I can’t resist sharing these photos. The moment captured here sums up why I love my job. The fact that I get to be part of these moments, I get the privilege to preserve them and the joy of sharing them just blows my mind.

So let me give you a little background on these shots. How many guys have ever wondered what girls do when they go to the bathroom in groups? I know I’ve heard the question a million times. Well so did these girls, so they took it upon themselves to start a tradition of answering that question for their grooms on their wedding day. Now when each of the girls get married their new husband is invited to finally learn what goes on in there. I may be ruining the surprise for several future grooms here but I can’t resist sharing what happened when it was Sergiy’s turn to join the ladies and find out for himself. Priceless.

Diane’s Shower

I love being a girl. My favorite color isn’t pink and I can’t walk in heels but I do consider myself a pretty girlie girl. That’s mainly how I get away with being terrible at sports. But back to my point, I love showers. Bridal or baby, they just suck me in because it’s a time to get a little dressed up and eat gorgeous food. I have been able to do several baby showers which you can check out on the old blog, but this was my first bridal shower session and believe me betty it won’t be my last.

Diane invited me to join her and her closest girls at her mom’s house in Miami for her shower. I had way too much fun and I totally felt like part of the fam.

I really loved the emotion at the shower and sometimes I think stories are better told in black & white so enjoy these and I hope you can feel some of the warmth that I did.
