Eric & Elizabeth threw a beautiful beach bash to celebrate their wedding on Saturday and like I’ve said before, I felt extremely lucky to be a part of it. This couple is so warm, laid back and in love it made perfect sense for them to say their “I do’s” on the sand. To echo the sentiment the best man coined in his toast: “Here’s to high school sweethearts who made it all the way.” Congrats E & E and hope you are enjoying Hawaii!

Yesterday’s wedding was full of all of the pieces of life that define beauty (in my humble opinion). Love, God’s love, marriage, family, friendship, joy, fun, sun, sand, sky and so on. For a lover of beauty and it’s visual manifestations it was all there. I felt like the luckiest photographer in the world yesterday. I will surely be posting the whole collection soon but for now, just one. Just one shot that evidently could have got us arrested. Luckily we were in a hurry and didn’t wait around for that to happen. But just the threat makes this image all the more invigorating. Not to mention the stunning bride! Elizabeth, with her flowing gown and softly swept hair, looked to me like she stepped right out of a dream. Especially in this shot. I love it.

Have you ever encountered two people so enamored with each other that you want to just wiggle right in between them to try and experience what they feel? If so, then you know what I mean. If not, then you are about to. Eric and Elizabeth are THAT couple. Not in the nauseating dramatic way, but in the more subtle way that you wouldn’t really notice until you studied their expressions. As I did just that going through their images, it became evident to me that there is a magic between them, but not the typical “butterflies and fireworks” magic, but the much deeper “forever” magic. It could be that eight years together has cultivated the kind of affection and admiration they so clearly have for one another, or it could be as Eric put it, “I’m just glad I have something so nice to look at”. I think it’s both. They are a great great couple and I couldn’t be happier that they are just weeks away from continuing their forever.
