FACT: My clients are hot.

You know it’s true. And the best part is they are fun, stylish and allow me to be me. I couldn’t ask for better people to work with. I’m so proud of how each and every one shares their unique personalities and relationships with me. It’s all about being real and capturing it.

Brad & Kristin kept it so real on their engagement shoot and I am so excited to share our images with you.

As you’ve probably noticed, this wedding was broken into two posts instead of one so I could get the first posted right away. Now we’re on to part II, the promise and the party!!

Like I touched on in the last post, this wedding surpassed my expectations in every way. I knew everything would be beautiful, special and unique because it had Natalie’s elegant touch. What I didn’t know was how moving Anthony’s first glimpse at his new bride would be, or how proudly content the gazes of their parents would be as each couple watched their children pledge forever, or even how Natalie’s gentle spirit and thoughtfulness would make her wedding one I would never forget.

When you scroll through these images you will see what a wonderful day December 30th was. What you may not see is that December 30th was also my anniversary. We really wanted to be a part of this wedding so we didn’t think twice about it being on the same day. But Natalie did. So during her reception she asked the DJ to play our song and invite us to put down our cameras for a special anniversary dance. And as we slowly swayed back and forth, my eyes filled with tears as memories flooded my mind. I know it goes without saying that having a successful marriage and career is a lot of work; but in that moment that Natalie gave us, it was all so worth it. I will never be able to thank her for what that meant to me.

I promise I don’t have “really really good-looking” as a client criteria. It just seems to work out that way and that is a-o-k.

But to be honest, what is beauty if not an outward manifestation of a pure heart and a true love? I think that’s why I work with such incredible beauty- because it’s real.

The soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. JB Tucker are no exception and I know their wedding next month is going to be epically beautiful.

So I’ll spare you from any more of my photographic philosophy and show you some of my favorite shots from their engagement shoot.

For my married readers you know how the wedding day goes…fast! And sometimes a cocktail hour is just not enough time to slip away and find a romantic setting for your first photos as husband and wife. And sometimes you want to attend your cocktail hour as was the case for Isom and Kelly. So they had the idea to schedule a shoot after the big day for their Bride and Groom Session. It was great because since time wasn’t an issue we could shoot anywhere we wanted and were just able to relax and make some art out of love.

I absolutely love meeting new people. Studies have shown that one of my top 5 energizers in life is making new friends. I am not making this up. If you want to know which studies, just ask. ANYway, I got the opportunity to meet two beautiful new people last night AND take their engagement photos. Not too shabby.

Alyssa emailed me a little while back that she and Ian would be visiting from Atlanta and were interested in doing their engagement photos while they were here. Of course I agreed that was a fabulous idea. Well the time for their shoot finally arrived and we could not have asked for a more beautiful breezy beachy evening. And I could not have asked for a couple more into each other. Talk about chemistry…yeah they have it. See?

I get very excited by this kind of light (and love).

How perfect are they?!

Ahhhh love, I love it.

Dave and I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Mr. & Mrs. Nathan Thomas this morning. Beautiful, elegant and romantic are the first few words to come to mind, although none of them seem to do it justice. We are still uploading all the photos but I wanted to get just one shot posted to give everyone a taste of what’s to come. Thank you to the bride and groom and their loving families for allowing Dave and I to be a part of this incredible morning.

I love pictures. No surprise there I know, but I mean it from the deepest part of me. I always have and always will. That is one of the reasons for my facebook addiction. I log on several times a day just to look at everyone’s photos. Today I popped on and something caught my eye. It was a photo shot by two of my gorgeous clients on their Mexican honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas. Remember Bryan and Julie? Well they are super adorable and I am thrilled they did Cabo for their honeymoon. You see Cabo has always held a special place in my heart since my three best friends and I spent an amazing spring break there in college. It was the first place I ever saw a whale in the wild. Life-changing. We had a blast and the memories we made that week still bring a smile to my face. Just like this awesome photo did this afernoon. The reflection in her shades is of a natural arch over what is called “Lover’s Beach”. How perfect! So I asked Julie if I could share it and she said yes. I just thought you guys might enjoy it. Thanks Julie!

As I mentioned in the sneak peek below, this wedding purely incredible. Rachel’s warmth, elegance and unique style were beautifully showcased in a breathtaking display of love as she said “I do” to a very charming Sergiy. I truthfully could go on all night about how amazing this couple is to work with. From our first meeting at Starbucks, to the engagement session and throughout the entire wedding, I have been totally in love with them. Ask Dave. I mentioned in the sneak peek below that the love they share is humbling and encouraging all at once. That is what drew me in. I don’t know how else to put it. So I won’t try, I will just show.
