George & Mary | Treasure Coast Wedding

I am in love everything about this day. The bride, the groom, the wedding party, the venue and the food. SO yeah, the food, it was catered by the genius chefs at Jupiter’s famous Leftover’s Cafe and Food Shack. I happen to be quite a fan of the crew over there so I stop in from time to time (wink, at least once a week) to say hi and dive into something delicious. Needless to say I was elated to be a part of this day. To top it all off, I got to shoot it with one of my best friends Kat. So since I was the second shooter, I got to hang with the guys and shoot some details. It was love and here is why.

I’ve said it 100 times but I will keep saying it: I adore couples that put thought into their weddings and sessions. Chelsea happens to be a photographer herself so she totally gets that. Victoria is her middle name and as such she has always been fascinated with Queen Victoria and that era. She and Sean decided Vintage Victorian would be a fun way to theme their session.

Rich & Sydney’s Destination Wedding at The Omphoy Palm Beach

Rich & Sydney live in New York but they chose Palm Beach, specifically The Omphoy as the destination for their afternoon ceremony and reception. I was only able to spend a few hours with them but here are some tidbits from their wedding day.

I adore this venue and seeing how each couple makes it their own. Dan & Lisa’s daytime backyard wedding at The Powel Crosley Estate was no different. From the charming groomsmen attire to the elegant hues, everything came together to be totally them. Which I love. Enjoy!

Francois & Patty’s Norton Art Gallery Wedding in West Palm Beach

I am not one of those people who does a very good job of separating my personal and professional lives. Never have been and don’t foresee ever being. So when I get the opportunity to shoot weddings with a personal connection, I find it really fulfilling. That is one of the reasons I do every thing I can to truly get to know my clients and develop a personal relationship with each and every one.

Patty’s wedding was an honor to photograph because although she has spent the last several years in Australia, she and my husband Dave grew up together. They played together as babies, went to church and school together as kids and sang in a choir together in high school. I had always heard such wonderful things about her so when I got the first email sharing the news of her engagement and upcoming Florida wedding, I was thrilled!

Patty & Francois are both biologists so it was important that their wedding was planned with the utmost care and respect for mother nature. They hand-picked the citrus for their table decor from the family’s property and made granola as favors for all of their guests. Planning a wedding from the other side of the world can be a bit of a challenge but her Mom and Lauren Daversa Events did an incredible job.

I think I would be doing these two an injustice if I didn’t mention how deeply wonderful they are. On the way to the first look I asked Francois what his favorite thing about Patty was and he said (in a charming french accent) that she was “natural”, he went on to describe how genuinely beautiful she was inside and out and I have to agree with him. So without further ado, their special day.
