The Megathlins

This shoot was a long time comin’ but it was totally worth the wait.

Shelly and I have been friends since college and we’ve been talking about doing a session for a while, well today was finally the day. She and her hubby Dave have two adorable kiddos, Emma & Jacob, that I have been excited to photograph for what feels like ever!

We were a little nervous about where we would shoot considering the 85% chance of rain- so we decided on a place that held some nostalgic value for Dave (and also a bridge to shoot under if the rain came down).

I love finding new backdrops and this place was full of them. I had such a great time just romping around and I even managed to snap a few fun shots…

So meet the Megathlins.

Belly: Jeff & Claudia

Don’t you just love it when things turn out just the way you want them to! I do.

Today was one of those occasions.  I woke up not feeling my best and slightly concerned about how windy it was for my morning belly shoot at the beach. So I said a little prayer that things would go well and headed down to meet Jeff & Claudia.

This is where it gets good…they arrived right on time and were totally flexible about relocating the shoot to Bethesda by the Sea. So we headed over there  and the next thing I knew we’d spent two hours together and I had over 600 shots logged on my camera!

This couple seriously blew me away with their incredibly laidback personalities and willingness to try anything! On top of that, Claudia has this captivating kind of beauty that makes it impossible to stop snapping. SO yeah, I got a little carried away.

All that to say that this post is a little longer than usual but hope you enjoy.
