Baby Baker #2 is a ________! | Jupiter Photographer

It’s been too long since my friend and JLP assistant Kelly B. has graced my blog.

She is expecting baby #2 and today was the big day that she and Brad found out the baby’s gender.

I convinced her to come straight to my house from her dr. so we could shoot a few fun family shots to use for the big announcement!

Drumroll…..

Now if they could just decide on a name…

Lauren Daversa is a phenomenal wedding planner in the area who has also become a great friend. We are constantly chatting about ideas, tips, and whatever else is on our minds.

Back in December Lauren got together with her family and decided to purchase a gift certificate for her in-laws for Christmas.

When the time finally came for our session, she shared with me that she had decided to spice things up a little bit so she handmade some “props”.

Knowing that everything she touches turns to gold, I was sure I’d love whatever it was. And I did. And so will you.

I had a blast hanging with The Daversas on Saturday morning and here are just a few of my favorite “organic moments”.

Meet Lauren & her hubby Greg.

These are Greg’s parents and they are clearly 100% adorable on Jeff’s shiny Ducati.

The guys were just begging to get out Lauren’s props for their photos so we to oblige.

Everyone had to get in on the fun.

Even Lauren’s niece, Gracie wanted a piece. Just a piece.

Uncle Andrew also enjoyed some fun of his own.

The Daversa Family was super fun and I totally loved every minute I spent with them. How could I not?

‘Tis the season…for family sessions!

This shoot marks the third (or maybe fourth) year in a row that I have photographed this darling family. Steve, Apryl and their three daughters are wonderful friends and I always look forward to my time with them. I love watching the girlies grow and seeing how their unique personalities shine more and more each year. This session was no exception, the girls showed me what they were made of and turned on the charm for the camera. Gotta love it.

{Weekend Away} | Jupiter Photographer in St. Augustine

So for those of you who don’t read my frequent facebook updates, I have a lot going on. I have always been a busy girl but it was typically more socially related than work related but I think I have come to the point in my life where that is officially changed. Good thing I love my job. Anyway, amidst all of the tasks and to-do’s I decided to sneak away with my mom this past weekend to visit my little sister. Melissa, the apple of my eye, lives all the way in TN but was in Jacksonville for a children’s ministry conference so we hopped in the car to go spend the weekend with her. We had a wonderful time touring St. Augustine and treasure hunting in a hundred or two tiny shops. I took a bunch of pics but since I have an engagement session to post tonight, I’ll just share a few faves. Didn’t have time to do too much editing on them but hope you like them.

This place is some sort of Catholic Cemetery and Prayer Garden with a whole lot of history that I can’t really remember. But it was an incredibly peaceful place.

I have ALWAYS wanted to do a shoot in an old bookstore (and of course we have none around here) so when we found this one I made my mom take my picture. Probably the closest I will get to an old bookstore session anytime soon.

I love old Florida memorbillia and this shop had a bunch, for that reason this next photo really intrigued me.

Jessica Lorren photography is expanding! That’s right, Dave and I hired our first employee yesterday. His name is Coconut and he is in charge of keeping me company and helping me to become more efishent. Ha. But seriously, he is a belated bday present and he is so darn cute, we are just in love. As I write this he is swimming on his side as fast as he can from one side of his tank to the other. Just precious. Anyway, I am so excited to have a little buddy now and if you’d like, you can leave a comment for coconut and I will give him the message.

Maria and I went to high school together and as the story usually goes, we hadn’t really kept in touch. But thanks to Facebook, we reconnected and she asked me about doing a special shoot for the girls in her family. I was excited to see her again, especially for such a fun occasion.

It was her mom’s birthday and Maria, her sister, her niece and mother and were all together to celebrate. I can’t think of a better way! So they got dolled up and met me at my favorite spot in Jupiter for a beach session.

They were all beautiful and little Lilly stole the show. She was so adorable, I want one just like her someday!
